Almost April and SNOW?

Well here we are almost into April and we are due for Snow today!! Yea So Not what I was wanting to hear. Gotta Love the mid-west don't we? I was So thrilled yesterday when I went out w/ just my sweatshirt and was getting warm. I got my onions planted and noticed my onion chive plant from last year was coming back Wonderfully. My tulips have all the greenery well out of the ground and are a good 6in tall, all I'm waiting for is the bulbs. I LOVE Spring!!! I will have to get a couple old sheets though and cover everything tonite so it will hopefully not frost too bad.
I know my friends in Kansas had snow there early this afternoon and in an hours time had almost 1/2 in from the look of the photo he sent. We are getting rain here for most of the afternoon now so I expect some of the snow will probably reach us by tonite or tomorrow sometime. ICK!!
I just want to get to my flower planting and the rest of my garden. I would also love to open up some windows but in a house where almost every window needs replaced that won't happen too soon. I am hoping though this yr to at least get 1or2 windows done and just work on it a little at a time. We did finally get our back yard worked on, our Great friend Bill just came over one day and started cutting down all these waay over grown trees we have wanted out for the past 2 yrs. The yard seems so much bigger now and of course wide open. Bill is so Great!!

Jan 2009

Well this has been a pretty ho-hum start to the year really. Not much going on here for us Robinson's. Spencer should have some relief for all the overtime he's been working as a new store Mngr has been hired for the store he's working at and supposedly his name has been put in the running for a possible Mngr opening in a store closer to home. It would be Very nice to cut down the drive he has now.
I am working as usual. I actually for the first time did not make any kinds of new years resolution. I figured why bother, I usually never stick to them anyhow and the one I usually make is to loose some weight and I am trying to everyday tell myself I am ok w/ my weight. Honestly for the most part I am too, I would certainly not mind looseing a little more but if I don't I'm ok w/ that too.
Both the boys are doing well. Spending hours on either the Computer playing their games, listening to music or playing video games. Ahhh boys! I just hope their brains are turning into vidwo games, I can't wait for summer then I can kick them outside to their bikes or the driveway to play basketball or something other then all the electronics around here.

Busy Fall

This is my first time trying my hand at blogging. Let's just say I'll blame Amber for getting me started. wink, wink
We are so far having a busy Fall here at the Robinson house. A couple weeks ago after a big rain storm a large branch of one of our trees out front came down, the village came by to clean it up and decided to cut down the whole tree. There's goes a Huge amount of our shade!
After having the tree taken out it really got me in the mood to do the other yard work I have been wanting to do for some time now, tearing out the bushes and a large evergreen type tree in the front yard. Well our Good friend Bill came over last Friday and took his chain saw to everything. We had it all down and piled up in about an hour. I like it but the only thing is now I will have A Lot of planting to do next spring, shouldn't be a problem I love planting! Now I get to spend the winter planning my landscaping.
